Tarot for Fiction Writers returns

If you ever wanted to study with me, I’m teaching my Tarot for Fiction Writers class again in October through The Writers Circle. Class is held via Zoom and limited to twelve spots—last time the spots went *really* quickly.

Here’s a description of what I’ll be covering:

The 78 cards that make up the Tarot offer an archetypal overview of all of life: from the child-like innocence of ‘The Fool’ to the expansive mastery presented in ‘The World.’ In this seven week class, through lecture, writing exercises, and in-class workshopping, you’ll learn tarot-based techniques to structure and strengthen your fiction, and discover methods to dig deep into your characters’ backstories and desires. We’ll also explore ways to utilize the Tarot during the revision process and methods to deal with writers block and other creative challenges. This class can be used to generate new fiction as well as for revising a novel or short story already underway.

No previous tarot experience necessary. We will be using the Rider-Waite Tarot.
